I came across this British viral ad about the risks of texting while driving. We all see the ads on TV about drinking and driving and drugs, but for me personally, I never really take much notice as I know that I would never get in a car while under the influence.. and therefore, the accidents that happen in the ads “will never happen to me”.

However, this ad really hit me, because admit it, we’ve all quickly sent a text message, checked the time or answered a phone call while driving.

I’m actually quite surprised at the impact this ad had on me. From now on, I’m not going ANYWHERE near my phone when I’m driving. EVER AGAIN.

The client definitely got their moneys worth out of this ad. It has hit the target market head on and it’s absolutely changed my attitude about “it will never happen to me”.. after watching this video, I’m now saying “it CAN happen to me”.
