I don’t like Punk Music, but i’ll make an exception.
Gerry McCusker, a Melbourne based PR consultant recently presented at the International Association of Business Communicators conference in San Francisco. Instead of speaking, he showed this video comparing Social Media to Punk Music.
I love expressing myself through visuals. I have books full of pictures i find in magazines, collages, quotes that i find. It helps to represent how i’m feeling and in terms of advertising, the things that your brief should entail and what your target market want. I love presenting things by representing what the final outcome is about. When it comes to my honours project, i’m so excited to create my exegesis, it’s going to really help justify my outcome.
Not only does this video give us a very clear representation of what social media is like, it helps to attract attention and make people think. It’s better than a 1 hour lecture, right?
Moral of the story, don’t stop at the final outcome, the way you present it is just an important.
